This limited edition Sprint Run expression of the Urban Lightweight supercharges this time-tested design with ultra-high-performance K390 MICROCLEAN® blade steel. Manufactured by Böhler-Uddeholm, K390 is an advanced cold work tool steel produced by the particle metallurgy process. Its sophisticated alloy mix was specifically developed to provide the extreme wear resistance and high compressive strength needed in industrial cutting, blanking, and punching operations. Amazingly, its exceptionally fine, homogeneous microstructure also makes it readily machinable and easy to heat treat. As a blade steel, these qualities translate to outstanding edge retention and excellent toughness.
K390's advanced alloy composition includes nearly 2.50% Carbon, as well as Chromium, Molybdenum, Manganese, Vanadium, Tungsten, Cobalt, and Silicon. K390 is a true tool steel, however, not a stainless steel, so it must be properly maintained to prevent corrosion.
This one-of-a-kind expression of the Urban Lightweight features a distinctive gray fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle and a reversible deep-pocket wire clip.
